One of the most important rules: avoid drastic diets

You try to keep to a strict diet only to find out that you are not getting the minerals and vitamins you need, and your skin really shows it. It is better to eat a moderate, balanced diet in order to maintain a healthful, radiant skin tone. Remember these rules:

  • Try a fruit plate as a complete meal – your body will benefit from it.
  • Make it a habit to use a portion of raw vegetables (lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, etc.) to start each meal: this ensures that you will feel full earlier and it is cleansing.
  • The servings of fruits and vegetables? There is no limit. You can eat until you have had enough.
  • Do not sell yourself short. Occasionally a piece of chocolate or pastry will not hurt. The important thing is that you do not eat too much of these foods.
  • Avoid drinks with a high alcohol content.
  • Drink green tea or herbal tea that gently cleanse the body.
  • Drink at least 1 liter of water per day.

Get plenty of exercise.

If you have little time, then exercise in the morning before breakfast for a few minutes, at least 10. Your body will reap the benefits, as will your skin since circulation will be improved.

Pamper your body a few times a week with 20 minute massage.

Use a soft brush or glove, start at your ankles and make upward strokes towards your heart; this stimulates blood circulation. For your back, you can use a rough towel. Take a warm (not hot) shower or bath immediately after an invigorating massage.

Cleanse your skin with a refreshing tonic and then lightly rub your eyes with an ice cube wrapped in a soft cloth. This tightens the skin and helps relieve puffiness. Be sure to exactly match any foundation you use to your skin tone and be sure to use a yellow-based under-eye concealer in particular to combat bluish tones.
