Tips to lose weight for emotional eaters

Are-You-an-Emotional-Eater--?

ARE YOU AN EMOTIONAL EATER?

Emotional Eaters? Have you ever heard that term before? Do you try your best to lose weight on the scale but at the most unexpected moments find you’ve actually gained? Despite your attempts do you find yourself going into the kitchen and opening the refrigerator, even after a disappointing weigh-in? After a hard day at work you may do this also. You probably are not hungry, but want to fill those empty feelings with something comforting, like a bowl of ice cream or some warm mashed potatoes.

Emotional Eaters Should Avoid Stress to lose weight

This is much easier said than done! But the key to lowering your stress level is maintaining a proper schedule. Most often stress can be contributed to lack of sleep and rest. Go to bed at the same time every night in order to give yourself at least 7 hours of sleep with plenty of time to get ready in the morning and plenty of time to get to work. By lowering your morning stress, you set the tone for the entire day. At work, make sure you have packed a healthy, well rounded lunch. Nothing will make you feel worse than a bunch of horrible unhealthy food that will have you falling asleep at your desk at 2 pm. Also be sure to drink a lot of water. After work, do something you love or go home and relax. A good workout is a great stress reliever.

Emotional Eaters Should Relax if they want to lose weight fast

In today’s super busy world, it is hard to find time to stop and smell the roses, but we all need to try to make the time! Even just a few minutes of deep breathing in the morning or a 20 minute nap after work could be all you need to chill out. Try reading a great book in bed before bed or going on a short, slow bike ride through the park. Meditation has been found to dramatically reduce the risk of heart disease; studies have also shown that people who regularly meditate weigh significantly less than their more stressed counterparts.

Emotional eaters should get plenty of sleep in order to lose weight in a healthy way

Sleep is how your body truly heals itself so making sure you get enough every night is crucial. Go to bed at the same time and allow yourself at least 7 hours to sleep with plenty of time to get ready in the morning without stressing.

Emotional Eaters Should do sports for weight loss

Sports and exercise are great ways of reducing stress. Going for a long walk in the woods or a quick step aerobics session will have you melting away stress and pounds!

Laugh Your Cares Away during the weight loss period

Laughing helps relieve stress. Curl up under the blanket with a funny movie and a healthy snack like apples or call your friends over for a spontaneous board game. Laughs will abound!

Emotional Eaters should make more Sex!
Last, but definitely not least, sex is a great stress reliever! Use this time to create healthy time spent with your loved one instead of the kitchen.
