Summer Salad Diet to Lose Weight Fast and Healthy

Losing weight does not mean you have to starve yourself and make you wish for some of that greasy chicken  for your dinner. Instead, fix yourself a big salad full of summer’s bounty! Take advantage of all the fresh product available this time of year and you will get your fill of delicious fresh vegetables with a plethora of vitamins and minerals, and yet a minimum of calories.

 How Can you Overcome Boredom when Eating Salads?

Make them different each time. Do not settle for boring, lame green salads. Add a punch of flavor by using vinegar and oil whisked together with some salt and pepper, add lean cuts of protein like chicken, turkey, tofu, steak, real bacon bits or ham. Sprinkle a little cheese over the top, or add some crunchy nuts. A personal favorite is extra virgin olive oil whisked with garlic powder, sea salt and pepper with fresh squeezed orange and lemon juice as a light dressing.


How Much can you Eat?

When it comes to summer salads, the only rule is that there are NO rules! If you would like a bit of ranch dressing, have some but keep it in moderation. Other than keeping fattening dressings and toppings to a minimum, have fun and go kind of crazy!
